Artes S.r.l. is a research center specialized in services for innovation and for the competitive development of fragile areas (individual enterprises, supply chains, etc..) based in Bologna and Tarsia (CS).

Since its founding in 1991, Artes carried out innovative and groundbreaking research projects, in partnership with national and international bodies, publishing the results in different languages. Artes carried out assignments for the European Commission, the European Training Foundation, the Ministry of Labour, CNR, ENEA, ISFOL and many research institutes and Italian and foreign universities, such as the Polytechnic of Milan, the University of Bologna, the Institut für Wirtschaft in Cologne and Berlin, the University of Nyjmegen, the University of Twente, in Bremen, in Darmstat, in Dortmund and with international bodies such as the OECD, ETF, ILO, UNESCO, building a wide and stable cooperation network.

Through the network strategy with leading foreign centers, Artes developed a rich know-how, difficult to find in a slim and totally private research structure. In addition to an international Board that collaborates regularly since 1995, Artes has promoted and established a network called nzymes4future, specialized in the field of Industrial Biotechnology and Environment, which brings together local companies, research centers, universities and social partners from Calabria, in addition to a large network of national and international actors.

Artes services range widely and may include anything from reviewing employment and workforce strategies for a particular industrial sector to formulation of action plans for the regeneration of entire local communities.

Research is constantly supported by field tests in order to identify, test and develop models and tools which, although designed for specific situations, can be easily transferred to different contexts.
