NUOVEMATERIE - INNOVATION POLE FOR MATERIALS AND PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGIES

Active since December 2011, NUOVEMATERIE is an intermediary body, whose main function is to facilitate the access to research and innovation for small and medium-sized companies.

NUOVEMATERIE is managed by CALPARK S.C.p.A., the Science and Technology Park of Calabria. Since its creation in 1992, CALPARK has been actively engaged in the regional economic development of the region, by the planning, experimentation and application of technological research projects and innovation transfer.

Currently, the Pole has 42 participating companies operating in several R&D sectors such as materials, construction, wood and furniture, shipbuilding, electronics, agrifood, and services.

NUOVEMATERIE uses scientific expertise from two participating universities (Università della Calabria, Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria) and the Italian National Research Council (CNR).
